Basic Collection for the Fourth Main Library

The average budget needed for each book is $70,000 pesos, including technical processing. A minimum of 35,000 processed volumes are needed to begin reading promotion activities at the Cultural Center.

BibloAmigos, being responsible for supplying the collection, has pursued different actions in this endeavor. One example is the cooperation agreement with the Swiss Alpandes Foundation that donated the sum of $540 million pesos to be used to purchase the basic collection for the children’s section at the fourth main library.

BibloAmigos is also providing $110 million pesos in funding with its own resources, in order to acquire the collection for the Cultural Center.
